Helps my BGL’s
Being a diabetic that is trying to manage my BGL’s with diet and exercise but struggling with high BGL anyway I read Dr. Bernstein’s Diabetes Solution: The Complete Guide to Achieving Normal Blood Sugars and started taking his recommendation of EPO and ALA every 8 hours.So far it has been 2 weeks and I have dropped my BGL dramatically, down by 25-30 which is really amazing. I never thought these would work, I took them as my last alternative before insulin and it has worked out great.I am still not at my target BGL of under 100 but I am very close and I know it is because I began using these two things, I even maintained my BGL reduction when I was out of metformin for a week so it shows that it is the addition of EPO and ALA that is reducing my blood sugar levels.Product arrived in time as in perfect condition.

TAINTED OR TAMPERED PRODUCT
Received a defective bottle of Alpha Lipoic Acid on my last delivery. The capsules in the new bottle are much darker & have a strong, pungent odor. They look like they’re tainted from incorrect handling / storage @ Amazon or they’ve been tampered with, either way I can’t use them. But Amazon offers NO recourse for return or exchange. What gives Amazon?

Best one out there
I really like this one. It’s better than any of the knockoff brands or Walmart stuff! I use this to control my prediabetes hyperglycemia and neuropathy! I know this works because when I take it before a meal or snack or coffee instead of urinating 200 times a day/ all night long; I go maybe 15 times a day and my blood sugar has been below 140 actually normal around 80’s 90’s! If you keep your blood sugar down then your cholesterol gets better! I have hypercholesterolemia and I’m only 30 / 180#. I have lost 20 pounds using this stuff!

NOW Alpha Lipoic Acid 600 mg – good – trying to keep off any Alzheimers
I heard years ago from a doctor that Alpha Lipoic Acid was a good anti-oxidant and aids in the prevention of Alzheimers and will slow down its progress. I am not of the age yet so my brother and I both take it in hopes of prevention. The information from the doctor said it (alpha lipoic acid) won’t regenerate dead brain cells, but it can slow it down considerably. My mother has Alzheimers and my Dad started her on it 20 years ago when she was 68. She has progressed very slowly, but is now 88 and it is really beginning to take its toll. We are hoping this will be a good aid in prevention, along with a very healthy, mostly vegetable diet. Good health to you all.

It works
I try various supplements on occasion and am usually disappointed with the results. I have been experiencing nephropathy for several years now and even taking the maximum dose of Gabapentin has only reduced the pain slightly and over the past month it has been getting worse. I read about Alpha Lipoic Acid in an article and decided to check it out. I have gone three days without taking any Gabapentin and the pain in my feet has decreased by at least 70%. I will update if things change but I am impressed so far.

Great supplement quality

Do research before purchasing
I ordered this for neuropathy only to find out this is not a suitable brand. It contains S-alpha lipoic acid with will cancel out the R-Alpha lipoic acid. R-alpha lipoic acid is the one you need. S stands for synthetic (man made) Check out the you tube video titled: Alpha Lipoic Acid Benefits – Avoid the Scams – The Nerve Doctor. I watched this video and it explained why I’m not getting any benefits with pain and issues managing my neuropathy. Make sure you only buy R-Alpha Lipoic Acid which is more expensive but it’s worth it and not filled with fillers nor any synthetic components.

it works great
Keeping my blood sugar in check was a struggle with a different brand of pills that my mom uses so I started using. They’re proud of their prices so I switched to this brand. My blood sugar readings went from 100 to 120 down to 81 to 95. Sometimes I even see a 78! It all depends on how much I can move around and not sit. And then when to time the reading. My gut reminds me to “take it now!” so I do. Waiting a few minutes cos I’m distracted or lazy means my bs number rises as much as 10 points. It’s a lot easier to get good numbers more often than not with this brand.

I feel that it’s working
I’ve been taking this for a couple of weeks and I feel that some of the pain that I’ve been experiencing from lower back nerve damage is lessening. It’s not gone, but I can feel my toes a little more and to me, it’s worth the money I’m spending on this product.

I stated out using these to aid in weight loss ,what it actually did was miraculous .I have suffered with neck pain for 5 years now due to inflammation,after a week and a half on this I was pain free for the first time in years without taking Aleve or Tylenol.I tried 3 DIFFERENT brands after the first bottle but the pain came back with a vengeance.Needless to say I have started back on this NOW brand and am hoping that it is going to put the pain away again.I think it may be the perine that helps with absorption ,at least that is what I am hoping and not that my body has adjusted to it and ALA wont help any longer because it was like a dream come true being pain free
